Danube Bend tour
A full-day guided bus tour to important landmarks of Hungarian history and culture. We leave Budapest and visit one of the most beautiful natural reserve areas in Hungary, the Danube Bend.
Starting at the Visegrad Citadel, a formal royal residence and fort, we take a walk in the castle museum and admire the view of the grand S-curve of the river Danube.
The next stop is Esztergom, near the Slovak border, where we explore the largest church of Hungary, giving home to the seat of the Catholic Church in the country.

After lunch (optional - not included) we continue to Szentendre, a historical Baroque artists' village offering a variety of programmes, such as wine-tasting, museums and shopping. The small, colourful Baroque buildings, wine cellars, unique museums (for example the world-famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum, the Confectionery Museum-with buildings and people made of marzipan), art galleries, cafeterias and shops create a unique atmosphere.
Your tour returns to Budapest by the Danube river boat (between 1st of may and the 30th of September). Outside these dates or in case of low or high tide, you will return to the city centre by air-conditioned coach.
