Mark your calendars for April 13-14, 2024, because that’s when Budapest’s Hungarian Railway Historical Park will come alive with the Oldtimer Show, the biggest vintage vehicle exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe.
But it’s not just about vintage vehicles – this two-day event offers much more. You can stroll down the ‘gastro’ street, ‘craft’ street, and ‘fairground’ to shop for local food and handmade treasures.
The weekend of the Oldtimer Show is a special time at the Railway Historical Park. Not only can you admire the fascinating steam locomotives and railway carriages, but you can also enjoy interactive programs, including a locomotive turntable, a horse-drawn railway, unique hairpin bikes, rail cars, a garden railway, and even a real steam locomotive in action.
Families are welcome, and there are plenty of free toys for kids to play with.
Getting to the event is a breeze. You can choose from various transportation options – whether by car, motorcycle (we’ve got a ‘motorcycle park’ just for you), or bicycle (we offer a ‘bike store’ in car park P1). And don’t forget, you can also reach the Hungarian Railway Historical Park by rail via the MÁV Esztergom line.
